Adult Bible Study
On Wednesday, September 9th (9:15-11:00 AM) and Thursday, September 10th (7:15-9:00 PM), 2009 we will begin a new 22 week study titled Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom.
Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom, a video series by Jeff Cavins, builds on The Bible Timeline and Matthew’s Gospel by showing how Christ’s Kingdom on earth is empowered to carry out his work in the world. The book of Acts shows the Church, enlivened by the Holy Spirit, teaching, preaching, healing, and restoring outcasts in the same way that Jesus did on earth.
The Acts of the Apostles provides an historic framework for understanding the rest of the New Testament. Paul’s letters in particular come alive in a new way when they are read within the context of the Acts narrative.
St. Isidore Church’s Bible Study program is designed to offer prayer, fellowship, and scripture learning in a Roman Catholic environment. The format includes time to socialize and pray as a faith community, small group discussions of the weekly lessons, and wrap-up videos.
