The Ambo

The Ambo is the piece of furniture in the sanctuary from which the readers read and the gospel is proclaimed.   On Sunday Masses we usually have a reading from the Old Testament, a psalm response, a second reading from the New Testament, and the Gospel.   The lector also reads the General Intercessions from the Ambo.
